چکیده

The man-machine interface of a small electronic device like a wristwatch is a crucial component, as more and more functions have to be controlled using a small set of buttons. We propose to use Argos, an automaton-based language for reactive systems, and Larissa, its aspectoriented extension, to show that several interfaces can be obtained from the same set of basic components, assembled in various ways. This is the basis of a quite general component-based development method for man-machine interfaces.

Error assessment in man-machine systems using the CREAM method and human-in-the-loop fault tree analysis

Background and Objectives: Despite contribution to catastrophic accidents, human errors have been generally ignored in the design of human-machine (HM) systems and the determination of the level of automation (LOA). This paper aims to develop a method to estimate the level of automation in the early stage of the design phase considering both human and machine performance. Methods: A quantita...

A Novel Hybrid-Excited Modular Variable Reluctance Motor for Electric Vehicle Applications: Analysis, Comparison, and Implementation

A variable reluctance machine (VRM) has been proven to be an outstanding candidate for electric vehicle (EV) applications. This paper introduces a new double-stator, 12/14/12-pole three-phase hybrid-excited modular variable reluctance machine (MVRM) for EV applications. In order to demonstrate the superiorities of the proposed structure, the static torque characteristics and dynamic performance...

Modular industrial robots as the tool of process automation in robotized manufacturing cells

Recently the number of designed modular machine was increased. The term modular machine is used to denote different types of machinery, equipment and production lines, which are created using modular elements. Modular could be both mechanic elements, and drives, as well as control systems. This method of machine design is more and more popular because it allows obtaining flexible and relatively...
